Commercial bakery operations are demanding on people and equipment. Fulfilling orders and loading of mixers takes a toll on people. Full pallets of heavy bags of sugar and flour need to be unloaded and emptied into tubs. Skids of delicious syrups and fruit fillings arrive in five-gallon buckets all that need to be loaded into the stainless steel mixers.
Presto/ECOA was contacted by a nationwide bakery with ergonomic concerns for the bakers. Long shifts and heavy repetitive loading was taking a toll on everyone.
After listening and visiting the bakery Presto/ECOA’s Factory Representatives partnered with a local dealer to detail the operation. The “pain points” were discussed and the need to offer a solution of equipment that was effective, flexible and in stainless steel was required and quickly.
The assembled Presto/ECOA team recommended the P3 indexing lift in stainless steel.
The P3 automatically adjust as load levels are removed preventing bending and lifting while loading the products. The rotation table presented the loads in a proper position. The stainless steel was a company requirement.
The ease of use and flexibility was accepted by the bakery staff and the first unit turned into several. Customer was satisfied that the operation was improved and requirements were fulfilled.
